Sign in with your Microsoft account.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Enter your <strong>25-character product key<\/strong>, select your country and language, then click <strong>&#8220;Next&#8221;<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p><strong>Important:<\/strong> The key will be permanently linked to this Microsoft account. Choose the account you want to use long-term.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 2 \u2014 Download Office for Mac<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After redeeming, go to <strong>account.microsoft.com\/services<\/strong>. Find your Office product and click <strong>&#8220;Install&#8221;<\/strong>. Select <strong>&#8220;Mac&#8221;<\/strong> as your platform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The .pkg installer will download to your Downloads folder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p><strong>Note:<\/strong> The Mac App Store only has <strong>Microsoft 365<\/strong> (subscription version). If you purchased Office 2016, 2019, 2021, or 2024, you <strong>must<\/strong> download the installer from the Microsoft website \u2014 it is not available on the App Store.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 3 \u2014 Install Office<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Open the downloaded <strong>.pkg file<\/strong> and follow the installation wizard. Click <strong>&#8220;Continue&#8221;<\/strong> through the steps, then <strong>&#8220;Install.&#8221;<\/strong> You may need to enter your Mac password.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The installer will set up Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and OneNote.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 4 \u2014 Sign In to Activate<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Open any Office app (e.g., Microsoft Word) from your Applications folder or Launchpad. Click <strong>&#8220;Sign In&#8221;<\/strong> and enter your Microsoft account credentials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Office will activate automatically. You can verify by clicking the app name in the menu bar \u2192 <strong>&#8220;About&#8221;<\/strong> \u2014 it should show your license status.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Troubleshooting<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Office doesn&#8217;t appear after installation<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Check your <strong>Applications<\/strong> folder. If you used the Mac App Store, make sure the download completed. Try restarting your Mac.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Activation prompt keeps appearing<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Make sure you&#8217;re signed in with the same Microsoft account used to redeem the key.
