MAK vs Retail — which one do you need?

MAK (this key) — a volume license key for one PC. It activates Windows 10 Pro online. It can’t upgrade Windows Home to Pro, and it stays with the PC you activate it on.
Retail — upgrades Home to Pro and can be moved to a new PC later. Choose the Windows 10 Pro Retail Online Key if you need either.

Before you buy:
Open Settings → System → Activation. The edition must say Windows 10 Pro. If it says Home, choose the Retail key instead.

Windows 10 vs 11?
