Best for: Budget-conscious users with older hardware that doesn’t meet Windows 11 requirements and doesn’t need Pro features.
Home vs Pro — what do you actually need?
Home covers everything most people use every day: browsing, Office, gaming, streaming, video calls. Pro adds BitLocker encryption, Remote Desktop hosting, domain join, and Hyper-V. If those terms mean nothing to you, Home is all you need.
OEM vs Retail:
OEM keys are permanently tied to this machine. When you buy a new PC, you’ll need a new license. For a transferable license, choose Home Retail instead.
What’s included:
- Full Windows 10 Home — gaming, streaming, everyday productivity
- Microsoft Store, Windows Hello, Cortana
- All Windows 10 updates through end of support
