What “phone activation” means here.
This key activates through Microsoft’s Product Activation service instead of the normal online check. You enter the key, Windows reports that it cannot activate online, and you then use the phone option. You never call anyone: you paste the Installation ID from your screen into our Get CID page, we return the Confirmation ID straight away, and you type it in. Total time is about two minutes.
